The Ukrainian AMX-10RC/RCR, Gun Armor Was Successfully Used In Counterattacks

An AMX-10RC/RCR armored vehicle donated by France has been deployed by the 37th Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy in a successful counteroffensive in the southern Donetsk Oblast.

This armored gun reportedly played an important role in the daring attack on the Russian-held town of Velyka Novosilka.

Defense Blog (6/15/2023) reported that the 37th Marine Brigade spearheaded the initial assault on the fortified town, and managed to break through the Russian defenses and clear the way for other Ukrainian formations from the 35th Marine Brigade.

The successful counterattack marked a turning point in the conflict, demonstrating the effective use of the AMX-10RC/RCR's capabilities and the resilience of the Ukrainian forces.

However, it remains to be seen how the deployment of these vehicles will shape the course of the conflict in the weeks and months to come.
It is known that Ukrainian troops have received a donation from France in the form of 40 AMX-10RC/RCR units which are the latest/upgraded variant.

The AMX-10RC/RCR was lined up as an armored reconnaissance vehicle and providing fire support even for fighting with opposing tanks.
